About This Site

This website a mere hobby of mine and it is not intended for profit or gain. The site is totally financed by my own funds; I do not seek, accept or receive any financial or other support to maintain it, and that is the way I want it. It is a Soap Box on which I express my own subjective opinion on politics, books and other writers opinions.

Although I express my view as concisely as I can, I do not object to those of you who have opposing views, in fact I encourage dissenting views, I recognise that I have no more monopoly on what is right or wrong than anyone else, we may agree or disagree on opinions but we must get our facts right and that goes for me too.

The links to book sellers in the "Recommended Reading" section, should not be viewed as an endorsement of a particular book sellers but rather indicative of where from I had obtained a particular book, or where it can be easily obtained from.

I include on my list ONLY books that I actually read AND that I feel  are worthy of reading. It is my (totally) subjective opinion.

I regard myself as conservative and it is reflected in my selection of books, videos and opinions. However, I am not a member of any political movement or a party, nor do I promote one.

Conservatism means different things to different people even among those who regard themselves as conservative; my conservatism  is simple, If it ain't broke don't fix it.

We have reached this level of progress in civilization by building on what works; one does not demolish one's house because a window is broken, one simply repairs the broken window. History is full of people who wanted to change the world and start again. In 1989 we witnessed one of the greatest attempt in modern history to change world disintegrating before our eyes with the collapse of the Soviet Union and Communism in Eastern Europe.

All Communists revolutions had two phenomena in common, they all followed by immediate withdrawals of liberties  and acute famine. So much for a new and "better world".

These days we have very few (and brave) people who describe themselves as "Communists" but that does not mean that communism has passed from this world; it is live and well under all its euphemisms such as "progressism", "environmentalism", "human right activism" and all other "isms" that  are so concerned about our liberties that they seek to take them away from us because we are too stupid to know what is good for us, or so they believe.

On the other side, "pure" capitalist ideologies may be just as lacking. How "free" is free trade when it "freely" dismantles our manufacturing industries? How "free" is free enterprise, where corporations are free to rip the people off? Read your credit card "agreement", it makes a mockery of the word "agreement", it is not an agreement that you freely entered into, it is a non-negotiable edict that you must accept on a "take it or leave it basis" if you want the service, a service that that you must have to go about your daily life -- try and book a hotel, a flight or rent  a car by offer to pay cash instead of using a credit -- you will be turn down instantly.

When was the last time that you freely negotiated such "agreements" and was able to change as much as a comma? And you call THIS "a free economy?"

And there is the Muslim menace. I have nothing against Muslims per se, I grew among Muslim Arabs and know the difference between peaceful people of the Muslim faith and an incited Muslim mob, often comprises by no less than the very same "peaceful" Muslims turned savages. Still, my criticism of Islam is not directed at people but at Islam itself and what it is stand for.

The word "Islam" comes from the Arabic word "aslama", meaning "submission", NOT from the word "salam" (meaning "peace") as some fools claim. Islam is not the region of peace, in fact Islam is more than just a religion, Islam is a political movement and a way of life as much as it is a religion. The Koran and the Hadith mandates every aspect of life for a Muslim down to what leg a Muslim must put first when he or she enters a dunny.

Gone are the day that you could just grab an overnight bag and hop on a plane, had you done only half the things to the Guantanamo Bay's detainees, as you  endure before you allow to board an airliner , the "human rights" champions will be all over you like a rash. Every commercial fight is a monument to Muslim terror, the exceptions are "Islamic" airliners with little or no security procedures, they do not require any, they are protected, by Allah, I guess.

Don't be just another useful idiot!
